Save mother earth!

Ways to reduce the risk of global warming as a community:

• Every month having a one hour no electricity hour, or no lights
• Make sure when people use the dishwasher that they use only the cold or warm not hot!
• Clean and replace air filters, this helps by 5 percent
• Insulate walls and attic this can save about 25 percent of home heating bills
• Join recycling companies
• When replacing appliances and windows go with the most energy efficient ones.
• Use minimal car driving and more bicycling and walking
• TURN OFF THE LIGHTS! WHEN NOT IN USE! THIS HELPS
• Inflate car tires and change the filter! Which saves gas money and the enviroment!
• Change your light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs which help by 55 %!
• Install a low flow showerhead
• And remember baths use 3 times as much energy as a shower does!
• When appliances are not in use please unplug!
• Make the city use LEDs, or light-emitting diodes
• Hang clothes rather than tumble dry
• Ride the bus
• Live close to work or school
• Pay your bills online to reduce use of paper
• Say no to plastic bags
• Plant a bamboo fence
• Clean your fridge condenser coils annually
• Clean up your beach
• Never release helium balloons!
• It may be strange but recyclable diapers!
• Join a cartridge recycling program
• Do not feed the wild animals!
• Make an effort to buy product with a recyclable packaging
• Set your fridge to 36 to 38 and your freezer to 0 to 5
• Install weather strippings on doors and windows
• Connect outdoor lights to a timer
• Compost vegetable scraps
• Buy rechargeable batteries! Only!!
• Join a carpool to get to work
• Use a microwave whenever you can over a oven or stove, it uses less energy
• Lower the thermostat on your water heater to 120
• Don't wash dishses or brush your teeth with the water continuously running
• Install energy efficient toilets, showers, appliances! Anything!
