Mother Earth

Environment……and YOU.

Each and everyone has a surrounding that makes it’s environment where it performs various activities every moment. It’s true that no one can live without it but no one seems to care about the environment. That‘s why the issue of caring about the environment has become so important today. One should understand the fact that human beings share the environment with all the creatures of the earth. Man is the only creature that has evolved tremendously as no other creature did. By the passage of time man consumed various resources. This consumption kept on increasing initially for his basic need and later on for greed.



In fact we have become so selfish that we don’t even care about our own future and the next generation. Caring and sharing has become a rare attitude. Reuse, repair and recycle is also thought to be a sign of backwardness and deprivation. Consumerism is being forced by media like TV channels. They make us feel that so many things are there in the world which we are deprived of. As a result we always keep on bringing ourselves to the virtual platform of prosperity. We often blame youngsters and make them responsible for that. Ever we have thought that the arena we have provided them is free from all the social ailments?



So many social evils are there which are not being created by the youth, instead they were already there. Whether it is news paper or TV, what recipe is being served by them is not hidden. Small children with tender minds are exposed to the radiations of HIV prevention ads, contraceptives, live in relations and obscene advertisements throughout the day and night. The entire environment makes them think in wrong direction only in the absence of proper guidance by parents or teachers. Who is worried for these important issues? In this atmosphere children are least concerned for the environmental issues.



But it is the need of the hour, so all of us first become aware ourselves honestly and then make the youth realize the need of caring about the environment. The only thing we need to develop among ourselves is the “Value System” which is the only remedy to all our social issues may it be the environmental awareness or any thing else. Values are vanishing day by day which were the treasure of mankind. These values are seen in some animals even today. Is it not amazing? We have made the Mother Earth cry. Earth is treated as mother by our ancestors, so we have to think in the same way as we think for our own mother…

Why Mothers Cry...

"Why are you crying?" he asked his mom.

"Because I'm a mother," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said.

His mom just hugged him and said, "You never will!"

Later the little boy asked his father why Mother seemed to cry for no reason.

"All mothers cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why mothers cry. So he finally put in a call to God and when God got on the phone the man said, "God, why do mothers cry so easily."

God said, "You see son, when I made mothers they had to be special. I made their shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave them an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times come from their children.

"I gave them a hardiness that allows them to keep going when everyone else gives up, and to take care of their families through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

"I gave them the sensitivity to love their children under all circumstances, even when their child has hurt them very badly. This same sensitivity helps them to make a child's boo-boo feel better and helps them share a teenager's anxieties and fears.

"I gave them a tear to shed. It's theirs exclusively to use whenever it's needed. It's their only weakness. It's a tear for mankind."

Are you not touched with the lines …..? Thinking of wipe out the tears of the mother? Mother earth and its valuable environment too need your kind attention. Give the mother back the love & care, kindness, generosity, tolerance and endurance what she has given you. If you love your mother…..then why are you neglecting the mother earth? You might be thinking that you’re not so great…..then think once again…..

There's nothing to fear --- you're as good as the best,
As strong as the mightiest, too.
You can win in every battle or test;
For there's no one just like you.
There's only one you in the world today;
So nobody else, you see,
Can do your work in as fine a way:
You're the only you there'll be !

So face the world, and all life is yours
To conquer and love and live:
And you'll find the happiness that endures
In just the measure you give;
There's nothing too good for you to possess,
Nor heights where you cannot go:
Your power is more than belief or guess ---
It is something you have to know.

There is nothing to fear --- you can and you will.
For you are the invincible you.
Set your foot on the highest hill ---
There's nothing you cannot do.

Yes, YOU can do everything !
