Resolutions we should take and inspire others to follow:

1. Always keeping a cotton or jute bag while going to the market.
2. Stopping the disposal of household waste in plastic bags.
3. Prevent the habbit of throwing away plastic items here and
there.

Please contribute your efforts and comments.

I think that at least we(although few in no.) should stick to our agenda of protecting the Nature...and not forgetting the principles as we grow older...and try to initiate the good habit among our friends & relatives at least...In this way, the no. of such caring people is bound to increase!!

yes i agree...when i go to the market to buy vegetables or groceries i see people from well educated and well to do families using and asking for plastic bags. i feellike approaching them and asking them why cant you bring a jute bag along from your home when you know you would be purchasing something. what is more irritating is that they ask for two or more bags to put on the first one so that the first one doesnt tear apart. Also when any shopkeeper refuses to give a plastic bag they lokk so offended as if someone has insulted them by saying no for giving plastic bags.

when the know all type people and the people such as engineers, high officials dont pay heed to the environmental pollution caused by plastics then we have no way to stop them. somedays ago a person in our locality (a high government official) saw a plastic lying in front of his house. The man brought a stick and dragged the plastic to his neighbours front yard.so how to stop such people.we only feel ashamed seeing their foolish acts and trying to stop them means engaging in a big fight.they think of keeping their home clean, without realising that they are littering their big home ,the earth.

About 3 decades back we did fine without plastic culture, then why we can not replicate it now.
Bhim Comment by Bhim on October 3, 2009 at 3:50pm
Not just polybags but plastic made containers, bottles, wrappers, packagings, pouches etc are ruining us of our health and causing irreversible damage to our environment.

Sweet Plant - Stevia

There's a new kid on the block (well, kind-of new to some of us anyway) ... stevia. It is not processed like high-fructose corn syrup or agave nectar, and the final sweetener is totally unharmed in the extracting process.

It is made from a shrub that is relatively easy to grow – that grew to…
