I have joined this because, I was living in Sikkim, eastern Himalayas for over a year. It is indeed disturbing to see the effects Climate Change already in the fragile ecosystems. There were many small changes like early agricultural sowing, early fading of Rhododrendrons, decreasing snow cover. Apart from these, the State Govt. illogical discussions of building dams in ecologically pristine and fragile areas with a proper EIA.
Himalayas are millions of years old, and because of our silly deeds, we are destroying one of natures most prestigious gifts.
