Thanks to you all Ajitesh, Lovlin, and Piyusha for your suggestions and ideas for saving water. For saving this precious natural resource, we should minimize use of water and also recharge underground water level.
Now monsoon are ahead and we all should establish rain water harvesting system in our houses. So that underground water level comes upward.

i think instead of using run off water through pipes for washin n cleaning our vehicles, like cras ,.........................we must use wet clothes or water used in washing nd other purposes..........

Hi Lovlin,

Is there no way you can stop the input of water when the sump is filled? like we close tap when bucket is full.

m an engineer and i used to stay in my college hostel.i want 2 share my experience with you guys.
we used to have muncipality supply water every morning and evening.the water was supplied for an hour which was stored in a sump.when the sump used 2 get filled up, the rest of the water was wasted due to overflow.we girls used 2 fill our buckets at that time still much maount of water used 2 get wasted...these small carelessness during the construction of houses too make huge problem and create scarcity of water..so in my point of view people should be more self conscious n carefull regarding the preservation of precious water.....

Thanks Gautam for a unique idea. Your idea also has a great importance because of our water consumption in toilet flushing is more than in other work. According water audit and water conservation report-2005, our water consumption in toilet flushing is about 39% while in bathing and personal hygiene it is about 29%. So we are hopeful for your next idea and suggestions.

Sweet Plant - Stevia

There's a new kid on the block (well, kind-of new to some of us anyway) ... stevia. This intriguing sweetener is ages old in some parts of the world – mostly South America and China, but relatively new in the U.S. It has no calories, no nothing that can harm you, even if you have diabetes. It is not processed like high-fructose corn syrup or agave nectar, and the final sweetener is totally unharmed in the extracting process.

It is made from a shrub that is relatively easy to grow – that grew to…
