You are right Sarvodit. Dense forest covering is essential for more rain and for preventing soil erosion. And we should do our best for Planting more trees and preventing them also.

i've just concluded my tour to Jim Corbett National Park and Kotdwar i n Himalayas........i was thinking that so much water is flowing in the river back to bay of Bengal......can't we conserve it......yes we do it by making dams......but at the same time we are destroying forest which bring rain and prevent soil erosion.....how can both the things go side by side? for water to keep flowing in the rivers always....prevent forest and increase forest cover.
