Save mother earth!

In Indian mythology, River Ganga is the most revered and worshipped river. The pictures taken through satellite by “Google Earth” have shown that river has shrunk and dried up at some places. The question therefore comes in the mind as to the reasons why this phenomenon could be happening? Besides other human interventions and exploitation, the construction and operation of dams are also contributing to the reduction in the natural flow of the river. Further, with global warming, the glaciers are also receding.

true, Ganga is being constantly exploited by people...sewage let in, untreated industrial effluents flow in, domestic use of the water, and innumerable other such practices have been going on and are still continuing, irrespective of what Ganga has become today...i could maybe even say, she no longer remains sacred but has become a dumping ground, with the exception of maybe a few kilometres from her origin where she is still her pristine self...

hi soniya..first of all thank u for sharing ur time for this discussion..i have made a film on ganga..i have went to places which are not linked to tourism but still the river's banks are so polluted that it should be really shameful on our part..we tourists are exploiting the nature..like in haridwar we all go to have a sacred bathe there..but i think none of us care of the present condition of ganga..take varanasi also..there r lots of examples. so atleast kabhi na kabhi to kisi 1 ko starting karni hi hogi..

River Ganga has been most revered and worshipped river, because of her water quality, the water is used to be most pure of all. Our sages are well aware of this fact. If ganga vanishes It will be great loss to our country. Ganga is not just a river but an anicient tradition, wisdom and knowledge. I pray for my mother river GANGA............

Sweet Plant - Stevia

There's a new kid on the block (well, kind-of new to some of us anyway) ... stevia. This intriguing sweetener is ages old in some parts of the world – mostly South America and China, but relatively new in the U.S. It has no calories, no nothing that can harm you, even if you have diabetes. It is made from a shrub that is relatively easy to grow – that grew to…
