Hi..Friends...
I have started this forum...keeping in view some important topic...related to land...which is conserved and planned, as treasure of "Bio-Diversity"...of the City...State....and Nation as well....But some Development Plans..are only..paper work...and in reality it happens exactly...opposite...to plan...

So friends...we will discuss abt some evils...which let the conversion of these lands into...Big Malls,Towers,Residential areas and all.....n Ruins the Beauty of Earth....

Call to Action on the Baner Balewadi DP
Green Pune Movement

Hi there all

We all know that due to the determined effort of Punekars that a Development Plan with adequate green areas for the 23 villages merged into the PMC limits was first passed by the PMC and then submitted to the State Government for approval. We were surprised to learn that the State Government has deleted all reservations for gardens, schools, playgrounds, other public amenities, and even for a fire brigade without giving reasons.
This is likely to make Baner Balewadi a concrete jungle resulting in a poor quality of life not only for the people residing in this area but for all Punekars - as it will give the Governement a free hand to do as they please for the new Development Plan being worked out for Pune city.
